LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Samaur

The town is 32km away from us and is located between The Loire and Thouet rivers which is surrounded by vineyards.

The elegant tall houses surrounded by narrow streets lead you to excellent bars and restaurant where you can sit and watch the world go by.

On Saturday a number of these streets lead you to the towns busy market in St Pierre Square where, during the summer months, you can sit outside and listen to live music.

Langeais

The town is 26km away on the banks of the river Loire with its imposing bridge leading to this very pretty town.

The Chateau of Langeais is the most furnished castle of the Loire Valley.  Enter via the open drawbridge to truly admire its charm and beauty.

A lovely little day makes for a pleasant day out with the local market being held on a Sunday morning.

Tours

The town is 40km away from us but well worth the drive.

Tours is a beautiful, vibrant and lively city and well known for the good food offered in the many piazzas and also, it’s up-market shops.

Get lost for hours visiting the historic quarter with their half timber house, the bustling Place Plumereau and Saint-Gatien Cathedral.

Local Vineyard Tours

There are many vineyards to visit in the Loire Valley and each offer their own experiences.

Famous for red, wine, rose and sparkling wines you will be spoilt for choice.

Zoo Parc de Beauval

Located 120km away the beautiful Zoo parc de Beauval is home to the largest collection of different animals in France.

Throughout the day keepers do talks and animal feeding sessions for you to get a closer look at the penguins, gorillas, koalas and giant pandas amongst others.

There is a tropical house with an open aquarium to explore, a sea lion show and a spectacular falconry display.

Cycling

If cycling is your passion, you will be spoilt for choice in the Loire Valley.

With enchanting cycling tours available you can make the most of a superb cycle path network along tranquil waterways, taking in the region’s immense cultural and architectural heritage.

The majority of the cycling tours run on green lanes and dedicated bike routes.

Le Mans

The circuit is just 70km away.
